We would like to advise that from next week, the College canteen will no longer be accepting manual lunch orders at the canteen window in the mornings.
All menu items are now available for purchase through the online canteen portal, and we encourage all parents and students to place their lunch orders online to ensure their preferred menu items are available.
Effective Monday 27 October, our College Canteen will only be able to accept online lunch orders.
Instructions on accessing the canteen portal can be found on our website: /news/college/focus-week-school-canteen
Please note that students may still purchase items directly from the canteen at recess and lunchtime, however, availability will be limited to what is left on the day, and their preferred choices may not always be available.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we continue to improve our canteen service and efficiency.
Our Year 5 students enjoyed an exciting WildAction incursion today, discovering the wonders of Australian native wildlife through close encounters and hands-on learning.
The session featured an incredible line-up of native animals, including “Lola” the red kangaroo joey, a tawny frogmouth, boobook owl, baby freshwater crocodile, black-headed python, freshwater turtle, green tree frog, tree goanna, shingleback lizard, and “Blossom”, an adult grey-headed flying fox.
One of the highlights was meeting and gently holding a tiny adult mountain pygmy possum – a critically endangered species with only around 2,000 left in the wild.
Through these up-close experiences, students learned about each animal’s classification, adaptations, habitats, and diets, gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges facing Australia’s wildlife. The incursion not only built confidence and curiosity but also inspired our students to become caring advocates for conservation and the environment.
A big thank you to Liv, our engaging and knowledgeable presenter from WildAction, for sharing her expertise and inspiring a love for wildlife among our students.
