A Day of Joy, Unity and Celebration

Alhamdulillah, by the mercy of Allah ï·», we were blessed with beautiful weather for our Cultural Eid Festival 2025, making it our biggest and best festival to date!

Held on Saturday, 12 April 2025, the College grounds were filled with vibrant colours, smiling faces, and the spirit of unity as our diverse community came together to celebrate Eid. The free-entry event welcomed all members of the community and was a true reflection of the beauty of diversity within an Islamic framework of respect, kindness, and joy.

Our Year 8 students recently had the wonderful opportunity to experience their much-anticipated camp at Kangaroobie, a working farm set along the beautiful Gellibrand River. Over the course of the camp, students engaged in a range of outdoor and team-building activities that allowed them to build resilience, strengthen friendships, and appreciate the beauty of nature.

  • Year 8 Kangaroobie Camp 2025

Students took part in an exhilarating canoeing adventure on the Gellibrand River, learning paddling techniques and working together to navigate the water safely. They challenged themselves through the obstacle course, building teamwork, perseverance, and problem-solving skills. A highlight of the camp was visiting the farm animals, where students learned how to interact with and feed cows and calves, deepening their understanding of farm life and animal care.

The camp also included excursions to some of Victoria’s most breathtaking coastal landmarks. Students visited Razorback, Mutton Bird Island, Loch Ard George, and the iconic Twelve Apostles, where they were treated to the unforgettable sight of a sunset over the ocean — a truly memorable experience that highlighted the majesty of Australia’s natural landscape.

Throughout the camp, students upheld the spirit of community and faith by praying Fajr prayers and other daily prayers together in congregation, fostering a sense of unity and spiritual reflection.

The Kangaroobie camp was not only an opportunity for adventure and exploration but also a time for students to build character, form lifelong memories, and strengthen their bonds with peers and teachers alike. We are proud of the maturity, enthusiasm, and respect the Year 8 students demonstrated throughout this enriching experience.
